What I bought yesterday...

I went to the mall yesterday just to get out of the house and get a quick massage. But Forever 21 called to me and I figured browsing wouldn't hurt. But it did...
I have a confession to make: As much as I love getting that green Tiffany box or any nice jewelry on a special occasion I swoon. But....
I have a cheap jewelry addiction. Forever 21 is cheap jewelry heaven.

I bought these stackable rings ($4.80), a white and gold leaf cuff ($6.80) as well as an amazing set of stud earrings inspired by everyones favorite fruit: apples, lemons, and strawberries ($4.80).

I also grabbed a pair of cheap semi-gladiator-esque black sandals for $7.50
You can see the faux croc print on them. Its funny I bought them a size smaller than I normally wear (because Forever 21 never has anything in a size large. You're lucky if you find a medium!) and they still feel too loose but they are pretty comfy.

I know it's kind of a controversy shopping at Forever 21. You know that their ripping off designers, poorly treating their workers, and donating huge portions of their profits to Evangelical groups and causes (specifically pro-life) which is a good argument for some people to stay away. I'm firmly pro-choice and while I was browsing the jewelry all I could think about was that I might be funding things that I'm against, as well as encouraging them to continue treating factory workers as subhuman. And yet I see the prices and I cave. I'm currently giving myself a lot of grief over this especially since discovering that at the bottom of ALL of the Forever 21 shopping bags in an almost unnoticeable font- John:316. I'm a Catholic, I have some very strong Christian beliefs, but printing Bible verses on your bag in such a subtle way that people may not even realize their displaying it to others? It makes me uncomfortable.
