A Celebrity Moment: MK at The Metropolitan Opera's 125th Anniversary Gala

I know a lot of people are not going to like this look. I've read a lot of vampire cracks. But the thing I like about Mary-Kate is that she isn't afraid of trying new things and she rocks them with confidence even if they don't really work.
She wore her usual red carpet garb-kimono style gown with a cinched waist and lots of jewelry. But the big, styled hair is a huge departure from her usual limp, messy look and the bright red lipstick (while not the best choice with such heavy eye makeup) was a welcome change from the paler than pale nude she normally opts for.
So did it work? Maybe not. But at least she doesn't look like everyone else.

MK has been traveling a lot lately. She's back in New York despite just landing at LAX a few days ago in the perfect travel outfit.

Chic but comfortable. And I'm obsessed with her carry-on plus I love that she actually keeps and re-wears pieces unlike some spoiled celebs--she's worn that scarf for years and she's barely taken those Stella McCartney heels off in weeks!
