Loomstate for Target

Just in time for Earth Day Target celebrated the launch of the Loomstate for Target collection last night at Big Red Sun in Venice, California. Rogan Gregory had a successful run with his high-end organic line, Rogan. So it isn't surprising that both he and Target were anxious to work together again-this time on his lower-end eco-friendly line, Loomstate.
The Target collection maintains Loomstate's signature California cool aesthetic with cute pelican printed shorts and tops plus amazing t-shirt dresses. Hopefully, the line maintains the quality of fabrics as well since they told Racked LA back in December that many of the 100% Certified organic pieces are silk & cotton or linen & cotton blends with soft-washed finishes.
There are a bunch of pieces that I think look great but there is a part of me that has to wonder--how eco-friendly can this line really be when its being mass-produced in much lower quality (based on price points. Loomstate starts at $200 while the Target version will top off at $44.99) by one of the biggest retailers in the world?

Emma Watson From Chanel To Burberry?

Remember last year when Emma Watson was rumored to be the new face if Chanel last year? Well, we all know that never worked out. But now rumor has it she's been signed as the new face of Burberry. Interesting, since they usually go with one or two or a bevy of top name models (Kate Moss, Rosie, Lily D, etc.). No official word yet but if its true we could probably expect to see the campaign sometime in late summer.
She did rock the unusual getup in Vogue Italia didn't she?
Also, in model news Jacquetta Wheeler, Raquel Zimmermann, Natasha Poly, and Freja have reportedly signed on for the Gucci Fall 09 campaign!
