3.1 Phillip Lim SS 2010

So I guess Phillip Lim loves Rodarte, huh?
I mean, I'm obsessed with Rodarte I just didn't think it was a 3.1 Phillip Lim kind of thing.
I always associated 3.1 with clean, sophisticated lines and delicate simplicity.
I think he tried to make a wearable Rodarte collection!
But I appreciate him going out on a limb and trying something new with this collection- except that the Mulleavy sisters might be a bit pissed off!
Still, the chances of me owning a Rodarte (that isn't for Target)? Pretty slim. Chances of me owning 3.1 Phillip Lim? Fairly high! So he can go and make all the Rodarte knock-offs he wants--fine with me!

Do you think the Phillip Lim as Rodarte works?

Of course the collection still included some beautiful pieces that actually look better on real women than on models! And the shoes! Oh the shoes! There are two or three pairs that I've been lusting over since the show!

Marc by Marc Jacobs SS 2010

As much as I disliked Marc Jacobs SS 2010 is how much I love Marc by Marc SS 2010!
He took all the best parts from previous shows (like the bunny ears from one of his LV collections) and current trends (like tribal prints) and mashed it all together with bright colors, clashing prints, and a dash of dork!
It is youthful, exuberant and I think that is just what we need right now!

I think green is going to be a BIG color this spring- between Chanel's Jade nail polish and the powerful greens in Marc by Marc we'll be wearing green for more than just St Patrick's Day!
