Alexander McQueen SS 2010

I know its been said before but he truly is Alexander the Great!
McQueen is a master of theatrics and here he created a story about transformation while transforming the way we view fashion- by streaming the show live on SHOWstudio.com
From Style.Com:
McQueen, according to an internal logic detailed in a press release, was casting an apocalyptic forecast of the future ecological meltdown of the world: Humankind is made up of creatures that evolved from the sea, and we may be heading back to an underwater future as the ice cap dissolves.
Reptile prints dominated with moments of sleek leather and foamy sheer fabrics.
I love that he turned the human form into something grotesque (like the shoes that created a hoof/claw hybrid silhouette) but still found beauty in that form.

Some of the silhouettes may be a repeat but the collection felt more like a continuation than a rehash of the past.
Despite the drama he's still a superior craftsman, plus he makes a lot of his own materials, so everything is beautifully constructed and fitted. When the "show" is peeled away he's a master tailor and these pieces will sell.

A Model Moment: Sasha Continues to Freak Me Out

Cute expression though.

Chanel SS 2010

I have nothing bad to say about Chanel SS 2010.
I want to live and die in it!
Well, okay, I could have done without the platform clogs.
But I'm saving up for that sweet white bag!

Other than the odd Christmas decor I adored the set as I've always pictured myself at Le Petit Trianon!

Lily Allen, a face of Chanel, also performed while the girls walked the runway. If you haven't seen Lily live you definitely should! I saw her live back in March and she's amazing!
