I've been meaning to talk about my J Brand jeans since I bought them in October but I'm not a very good blogger.
But since one pair of them died a terrible death this week I finally remembered to let you all know about them!
Don't ask about the death of the jeans suffice it to say that it involved a 5-year-old, a pair of scissors, and the fact that I'm a bit slower than I used to be.
Actually, that kind of brings me to the beginning of my story.
TJ Maxx had been generous enough to send me a gift certificate and since I needed jeans appropriate for work in a kindergarten I figured I'd head over and be able to get two pairs of Abercrombie jeans for $40 and that way I wouldn't care if they got painted on or ripped at work.
We all know that shopping at TJ Maxx can be a bit of a labor of love- especially if you're a size 10!
I had found a pair of American Eagles that weren't terrible looking as I shifted through the rack of jeans when suddenly looking up at me was a beautiful pair of J Brands. I thought I must be making a mistake especially when I saw the price tag- $59! No way were these actually a size 10?! THEY WERE! It was a TJ Maxx miracle!
Okay they weren't my usual style- I like skinnies but these were straight legs- but at $59 who could pass them up? And when I found an identical pair in black, well....
The J Brand 805 Mid-Rise Straight Leg jean usually retails for $158. That means that I got two pairs for less than the regular price of one!
I'll be going back tomorrow to look for a pair of replacement J Brands and a holiday party outfit!
