A Celebrity Moment: Lea Michelle at the Tony's!

Glee's Lea Michelle looked stunning in this orange-yellow Zac Posen gown last night at the Tony awards!
No matter how many times I see yellows on the red carpet I somehow always find it fresh and pretty.
What do you think?

A Celebrity Moment: MTV Movie Awards Best Dressed...

You know that I usually hate Scarlett Johansson's style but at last night's red carpet disaster she was definitely the best dressed.

In Dolce & Gabanna

Is it bad that I actually kinda liked the over-the-top tacky of Katy Perry last night?

A Model Moment: Gisele by the Charles...

Boston's golden couple is finally back in town!
I know! Everyone thought they had jumped ship to LA for good!
But voila!
Gisele looked casually chic while taking baby Benjamin Brady (and her ancient dog Vida) for a walk along the Charles River the other day!
Maybe the Brady Bunch will actually stay in town for the summer!

Get The Look: Dior Cruise 2011

Dior Cruise 2011

Its hard to believe that the man who designed this collection also designed Dior's couture 2003 collection.
Now that John Galliano is playing it safe he presented a 60s Persian collection yesterday in Shanghai rather than voluminous, bright cocoons and feathers.
Maybe it is unfair to compare a cruise collection to a couture one but since this collection is just an edited take on Galliano's general lackluster for Dior lately it seems appropriate.
In 2003, inspired by a trip to Asia, he presented both a dramatic couture collection as well as a ready-to-wear collection in Paris. Both collections were not-so-subtle nods to Eastern culture turned on its head. It was fetishized, insane, and beautiful!

So what does he present upon his return to China?
Pastels, sweet dresses, and sixties hair.

I realize that China is now a huge, luxury market so staging the show in Shanghai to appeal to their Chinese customers is a great business move but it also just looks like Dior copied Karl after seeing the success he had presenting Chanel and Fendi collections there. And in keeping with the tradition of Cruise collections being "sellable" it was boring and pretty rather than innovative or inspired.

At least it will keep the masses happy.

I DID love the suit, and the blue and white striped dress!
I'm just trying to end on a positive note, people!
