A Celebrity Moment: Great Emmy Red Carpet Moments

While Claire and Nina stole my heart there were some other great red carpet looks last night at the 2010 Emmy Awards.

My second best dressed of the evening was, of course, Anna Paquin in Alexander McQueen!

Anna's been rocking McQueen most of the year at red carpet events and I just love her loyalty to the late designer. Its a powerful dress for a powerful woman and I think she pulled it off with ease.

Emily Blunt arrived with her husband Office star John Krasinski in an embellished, periwinkle Christian Dior. She's a movie star & could have gone all out but I love that she chose a simple gown and stayed mostly out of the spotlight to let her husband enjoy the lime light a little.

Mad Men had a great night winning Best Drama but the ladies fashion choices-yikes.
Only Elisabeth Moss managed to look elegant and sexy in Donna Karan especially when standing next to the disaster of January Jones' in Versace.

To be honest I'm not entirely sure who Rose Byrne is or what show she is on but I adored the white and gold Gucci she wore last night! The back, the front, the metal it was all just perfect!

And finally an honorable mention has to go to the adorable Heather Morris from Glee...

Heather didn't get it exactly right but she's still a red carpet newbie! I'm a sucker for old hollywood hair & makeup and I think having the glittering Ina Soltani belted helped to make it modern. I'm expecting really great red carpet appearances from her in the future!

A Celebrity Moment: Emmy's 2010 Best Dressed!

Maybe I'm just going through a light and glitter phase but all that drooled over navy last night just didn't do it for me!
My very best dressed of the night was a tie between two surprising starlets:

<span class=
Claire Danes glittered and glowed in a stunning Armani Prive
while The Vampire Dairies (and former Degrassi kid) Nina Dobrev was breathtaking in
Zuhair Murad.

Nina only had a minor involvement in the show (she danced in the opening number) but I think her red carpet appearance has launched her in a way her TV show hasn't been able to.

Claire Dane's won for her portrayal of Temple Grandin but as you probably know she isn't someone I normally think of as stylish.

They both really surprised me and are my definite picks for the night's best dressed.
Who were your favorites?
