You've probably seen this already but I just came across it!
Day for Night directed by Stéphanie Di Giusto
It almost makes me sad that I have to return my Vanessa Bruno shirt because it is horribly uncomfortable!

Somewhere in an alternate universe there is another Kara living out a sunny, pastoral princess existence in Alberta Ferretti's S/S 2011 collection with Air's Playground Love playing on repeat.
While her Philosophy by Alberta Ferretti fell short two weeks ago at NYFW her namesake collection completely made up for it.
Long dresses of sheer silk over floral prints, delicate flower appliques, lots of sweet lace - pieces that seemed like beautiful lingerie for girls who would never entertain a man in their boudoir!
Ferretti has always done graceful femininity but this time it was with a casual girlishness rather than elegant sophistication.
The colors of nudes, pale greens, grays, purples, and whites only added to the romantic feel of the collection.
(Doesn't this green grecian dress just seem perfectly made for one of Mad Men's Christina Hendrick's red carpet appearances?)
Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to play Rapunzel and braid chains of wildflowers to make myself a princess crown.

It has been less than a year since Lee Alexander McQueen took his own life and although he most recently had been showing in Paris as one of Britain's greatest designers it was only appropriate to honor him during London Fashion Week.
Anna Wintour spoke; Bjork sang; SJP cried.
SJP arriving and crying
Sorry for the lack of fashion week season posts.
I've been really busy and have a cold so I've been pretty preoccupied.
I'll probably go back & look over more from NYFW and LFW- if I do you know I'll post reviews!
But now we're on to Milan Fashion Week and I'm starting with one of Milan's most famous houses, Gucci!
The only way to describe Frida Giannini's latest collection for Gucci is luxe and sexy.
It felt a little bit like watching three collections as the first part was luscious, jeweled colors then a set of creams, golds, and whites on a safari journey, and finally overly embellished navy and black dresses and jumpsuits.
A little bit schizophrenic but I guess spring will be the best time to channel your inner sex bomb!
I simply adored the gold belts, the shoes, and most of the bags. I'm also a big fan of putting unexpected colors together but the teal and purple combo is a little too eighties to me.
Still, all of the jackets and outerwear pieces really caught my eye.
And if I didn't have boobs (and DID have money) I'd totally rock that navy, super low cut jumpsuit.
I'm just sayin'!

The big trend at NYFW? It was all about new minimalism!
(Click the thumbnails for a better look!)
Even sunny California girl Jenni Kayne toned down her look for a collection of simple basics and clean lines.
I'm a huge fan of Kayne as a designer because she makes wearable, comfortable clothes at a fairly reasonable price point. And this collection is perfectly on trend.
3.1 Phillip Lim was also as minimal as Phillip Lim can get but it was beautiful with structured, sheer pieces and beautiful colors.
But it was Francisco Costa at Calvin Klein that brought minimalism to a whole new level with gorgeous, moving, almost liquid gowns and sweet colors of mostly whites, nudes, and blacks.
I ADORED the white looks!
It was a collection that was sexy, feminine, professional, and somehow also androgynous.
As one of the last big shows of NYFW it struck the perfect note.
